The city of the three rivers
the land is a thin spit at the convergence of the three rivers.
From above it looks like an elephant's trunk that is why is called Khartoum which means trunk.
The city has short history compared to the Story of the river Nile.
During the years of the slave trade, between 1825 and 1880, Khartoum took its place as a big city.
It became the capital of the Sudan in 1834.

After reading the letter; which was brought to him by his faithful worker, the Chinese owner of the fabulous hotel said to him:
MR King: Did he say any thing else?
THE Worker: NO, sir, he said they will contact you very soon, before the things change.
