Last Wednesday the Security Council voted unanimously to extend the mandate of its monitoring group on Somalia and called on all UN member states to abide strictly by the arms embargo and take all necessary steps to held violators accountable...
So what is going on?
well, well, the country of seven millions has been without a government since 1991, the year in which dictator Siad Barre was overthrown. Since then the formers allies sliced up the country and all of us we know the rest. Violence became everyday story, but the Somalis are saying this time things are different, I do not want to go further, let us be realistic and look and see, the government is in Kenya and the dealers of influence and weapons as well
