Sudanese for Freedom - The Sudanese Revolution...

Demonstration in front of the Scottish Parliament

Friday 29th June 2012

‘Protests have taken place in Khartoum, nearby Omdurman, and other Sudanese cities and towns over the past few days after Sudan's president, Omar al-Bashir, announced a new austerity plan. Since the protests started, the response of the security forces – Sudan's infamous National Intelligence and Security Services – has been unrestrained. It has been characterized by detentions, interrogations, torture and intimidation. Journalists have also been targeted and detained for doing little else but observing demonstrations.

We are organizing a protest against the detention, interrogation, torture and intimidation of protestors in Sudan in front of the Scottish Parliament on Friday 29th June 2012.
