Demonstration in front of the Scottish Parliament
Friday 29th June 2012
2:30pm
‘Protests have taken place in Khartoum, nearby Omdurman, and other
Sudanese cities and towns over the past few days after Sudan's
president, Omar al-Bashir, announced a new austerity plan. Since the
protests started, the response of the security forces – Sudan's infamous
National Intelligence and Security
Services – has been unrestrained. It has been characterized by
detentions, interrogations, torture and intimidation. Journalists have
also been targeted and detained for doing little else but observing
demonstrations.
We are organizing a protest against the
detention, interrogation, torture and intimidation of protestors in
Sudan in front of the Scottish Parliament on Friday 29th June 2012.https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sudanese-For-Freedom-Scotland/390372287686781
