Egyptian border guards opened fire at Sudanese asylum seekers, while Israel...

fTuesday, 18 March 2008
This is the story of a group of Sudanese asylum seekers who managed to make it to Egypt....
After they were faced with the Egyptian refusal to accept them, they decided to make it to Israel...
it looks like Israel became the only country in the middle east, which will deal with their case as human beings...
the refusal of the Egyptian authority and the brutality of its police is something new to us, the Sudanese of now-days, because Egypt had always been our first escape, even during the period of general al-Numeiri, with all the good relation which Egypt shared with him, we had the chance to escape to Egypt..., something is wrong with our sister now, which I do not understand, why they ordered their police to open fire on peaceful people who are running away from al-bashir's regime?
During the last years Egypt gave us its back more than once, it looks like, they are sending us a message; which easily says: I know what is going on and I do not care........
last year a Sudanese woman was killed by the Egyptian police guards, and an other group of asylum seekers were treated as if they were not humans....
On Monday 17 of March 2008, I heard the news...
Egyptian police opened fire on a group of Sudanese refugees who were trying to make it across the border into Israel, wounding one of them, Egyptian security sources said...
Abdullah Shukar Abdullah, 23, was shot in the chest and moved to a hospital in the Sinai town of El-Arish, the sources said. Four Sudanese travelling with him succeeded in entering the Jewish state....
what is going on crazy world?
when will you end this way of dealing with our tragedy?
what is left for us from your human rights declaration?
it looks like when it comes to us, they do not exist any more...
this is my tribute to them, to the human rights
we are people
we are like you
do not you know?
we are suffering
we are in great pain
we do not shout loud
or weep in the crowd
we die in silence
do not you know
our skins
feel the pain
like you
do not you know?
please...
do not say....
you do not know
you know
I know
